MK4 Re-Build

Colcester MK4 is the latest and newest version of the layout...
The layout functions in two modes. Firstly it runs as an end to end layout operating from either the upper or lower storage yards and running through both Furman Smithy and Colcester International stations and back again.
Secondly it can operate as a tail-chaser layout making use again of both stations but also the garden loop extension to allow through running. This is helped also by the central avoiding line at Colcester International which allows non-stop working.

Re-use of the Furman Smithy village board is key to the plan as its curved shape defines the end of the board close to the shed door and that curve carries on to form a sweeping "S" Bend down to the lower level.
