GHT Haunted Locations

Over the years, GHT has visited some wonderful locations, some in towns others very remote, but all rich in history and spiritual activity. This page offers you a selection of some of the best of those locations and with a little bit of information too to help you understand why we feel they are so special. We hope it will encourage others to visit these sites, even if its not as part of a paranormal investigation, but even just to admire the beauty and history these places are graced with. BURGH CASTLE, Norfolk Ghostly Roman soldiers, Dark figures and the possibility of coming face to face with Black Shuck, all await you at Burgh Castle!!	CREAKE ABBEY, Norfolk You can hunt for spirits here or indulge in a spot of treasure hunting... the potential for dowsing here would be a worthwhile exercise.	APPLETON CHURCH, Norfolk It might be small, but there is alot of history here. A good site for first time Ghost Hunters to check out.
BERRY POMEROY, Devon One of the most haunted castles in the UK...!!	ASHINGDON CHURCH, Essex Is this the site of one of England`s bloodiest battles? GHT found the atmosphere here chilling to say the least...	GHOST TRAINS 3, Essex The Colne Valley Railway in Essex, GHT was the first ever group to investigate this site in 2015.
BLACK HORSE PUB, PLUCKLEY, Kent Wonderful atmosphere with several spirits. Our 10th Anniversary Investigation rounded off inside here, along with a lovely meal...!!	TUDOR HOUSE, MARGATE, Kent A large 15th century, possibly earlier building, rescued from demolition. Incredibly active especially with audible and EVP evidence	WEETING CASTLE, Norfolk A small 12th century building which went out of favour in the late 14th century. Varied phenomena here including a weird mist followed by a large black dog...!!
BRIGHSTONE CHURCH, i.o.w. In the pretty village of Brighstone IOW, stands its most haunted building - its church! Several spirits are here both in visitation and residual. Ghost-like figure caught on camera near door on right by GHT Investigator Joan Smith.	HARWICH REDOUBT, Essex 19th century circular fortress with various rooms and corridors. Several of the casemates produced phenomena including a very active boat and funeral trolley.	BRADWELL JUXTA MARE, Essex Saxon "Cathedral" built on the site of the gateway to the Roman Fort of OTHONA. Lots of shadow-like figures seen here. Various spirits picked up inside the chapel, and a "wild" Demonic beast which tries to block the church door for some reason.
ALRESFORD, Essex Pretty ruined church in Essex, was the site of some of our earliest outdoor investigations	RAMSGATE MARITIME MUSEUM, Kent The venerable harbour building is quite eerie at night and full of activity	THETFORD PRIORY, Norfolk A place where spectral Monks can walk even in daylight hours...
BINHAM PRIORY, Norfolk Home to an "Elemental" energy along with several spirits of Monks and other characters. The only place GHT has ever had to leave twice after being attacked by an unseen force...	ROUGHAM CONTROL TOWER, Suffolk Boundless energy here sparks off numerous spirits of pilots and aircrew, plus the location of our first clear EVP of a dog barking and growling.	DUNWICH, Suffolk A lost town - but its ghosts still remain, with a haunted beach, Leper Chapel and Greyfriars ruins, there is plenty to investigate here. Also location of Andy Ball`s "scary path".
PLUCKLEY, Kent Worth a page on its own! One of Englands most haunted villages and a GHT favourite location. Site of our 10th Anniversary Investigation in 2014.	LITTLE CHART CHURCH RUINS, Kent Location of two of the best pictures we have ever taken. One of which still remains unexplained, whilst the other became our GHT Logo...	PLUCKLEY, Kent The sign says it all... a very active village regardless of what might be said.
ROYSTON CAVE, Herts Prehistory, Roman and the elusive Knights Templars all come together here. Enigmatic carvings inside this unique structure make this a must see...	CAISTER ST EDMUND, Norfolk Abandoned Roman town in Norfolk near Norwich. There are many echoes from its past still lingering here... Site of our coldest ever vigil at -10 degrees! HELLFIRE CAVES, Bucks These unique and interesting man-made caves under West Wycombe church are the exact opposite's of Heaven and Hell, and are very active!	BINHAM PRIORY, Norfolk This beautiful church is one of Norfolk`s best. On a quiet day, you can hear footsteps in the gravel where nobody is walking...	ELSTOW MOOT HALL, Beds This lovely old building in Bedfordshire seems to have an active poltergeist...
APPULDURCUMBE HOUSE, i.o.w. Base on the "Haunted Island", this partly ruined mansion has some very spooky wine cellars...	HADLEIGH CASTLE, Essex Sunset with an Orb! Repeated vigils at Hadleigh bring new and more interesting information our way each time..	BORLEY, Essex Every ghost hunter has heard of Borley, it was our second vigil in 2005. Not everyone though gets inside the church. We had to join a Service to get in, but it paid off...
KNIGHTON GORGES, i.o.w. The most haunted site on the Isle of Wight, and the location of our very first vigil back in 2004. Colin and Joan have since been lucky to go inside the gate and see the old manor site itself.	CROSS KEYS, SAFFRON WALDEN, Essex The site of our very first all-night investigation. Nice to get the information to bear out with facts after proof of Cromwell`s mistress is proven from our Reports.
