Onwards with the Upper Boards!!!

Okay, the lower level loop has been completed, track tested and the inclines tested too, and after a re-think on the OHE Skis design (reverting back to using the copper wire and an improved design) we can at last turn our attention to the upper boards, specifically the Station area and the four main running tracks leading to it.

In preparation for this part of the build, supplies were required - we already have the track to start laying but needed more cork matting, plus PECO platform edges and also the OHE gantries required for the four track section. However, the biggest purchase was for extra board... I had two sheets of Sundeala left over but by my calculations I was going to need three more not just to complete the upper boards but so I could re-use the offcuts for other sections too.

So, now the next push will be in earnest to complete the upper boards and to complete a circuit of track to see trains run from lower to upper levels then back again.

Things the next section will include:

A) Four track section with the Hi-Speed line banked on the curve

B) OHE Gantries across all four tracks

C) The start of Platforms 1 to 6

D) The Depot and stabling yard

E) Colcester Junction and Furman Smithy Junction
