GREAT EASTERN MODELS VIRTUAL EXHIBITION 2023
Yes, its come around again, the brilliant Great Eastern Models Virtual Exhibition for 2023 will be held over the weekend of the 28 / 29th January on the GEM Facebook Page. Its a completely free event to enter and all you need to do to take part is to upload a video, still pictures or anything else railway related to the group page on a space that Anne Martin will allocate exclusively for the show.
Even if you dont have a model railway yourself but just love to look at them then this will be an ideal oppotunity to see some of the very best modelling in all scales over the two days. There will be a wealth of experience at hand too with many of the regulars on the Facebook Group on hand to give advice and answer questions.
Trade Support is welcome too and we already have P&D Marsh onboard with their excellent range of die cast figures and models in various scales.
Colcester International has teamed up with Chris France and his excellent Teasel Bay layout to present the Exhibition this year. Chris`s layout is a fabulous seaside resort based station and mainline with many excellent small details to see and a good mix of rolling stock running through. Make sure you stop by and check out this superb layout.
Colcester International has its stand ready, however there isnt any MK4 layout to seen yet unfortunately due to time and weather preventing getting anything done in the shed recently - but there is a lot of running session footage from the old MK3 layout so a new film has been spliced together to feature the very best of that layout from 2017 to 2020.
There is also a special sentiment attached to this years show. It was decided by myself and Chris to make the show this year in memory of Mark William Todd, a much loved and familiar face at Great Eastern Models until his sad passing. We felt he would have loved to see the show continue and watch all the great layouts featured on it so we felt what a great way to show respect to Mark and to show the fondness in our hearts we all had for him...
So, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th January - get on your PB, Laptop, Tablet or phone and head over to the GEM Facebook Page and see the best Model Railway Exhibition since the last one that, er.. GEM did....
