Exciting times!!

Where to start?? Well although not much scenery has been placed on the layout yet, there has been a great deal of thought into where things will be going and how it will look. A new road bridge will be going in over the Four Track section, this is to link up the Depot with road access and also to give the village of Furman Smithy a more "connected" feel to the rest of the design. Several items have been purchased to go with this scheme including a very nice country church, which when viewed from along the upper loop line should give some lovely pictures.

As well as preparation towards the scenic side of the layout, I couldn't help but bid for something on eBay which has been on my wish list for a long time now, and which I have failed to get on previous auctions, however I did manage to win one for approximately £60.00 including postage... this is the elusive Hornby Virgin Pendalino train, specifically the train pack without track - an item which I think will look superb on the layout especially on the banked four track curves as the model features actual tilting boogies just like the actual unit has in service. I`m very much looking forward to its arrival and will be doing a film of it running once I have it...
