New Junction, New Station and a New Loco...

Sorry for the long gap in news posts but things have been a little busy.

First up has been the creation of a brand new area of trackwork to tie in with the exit from the Upper Storage Yard which will be known as Colcester South Junction. This will be a completely new scenic area linking in the Colcester cityscape and International Station with the Viaduct Line. A key feature of the new junction is the inclusion of a Headshunt, a storage siding for locos awaiting duties.

Secondly we have finally made a start on Furman Smithy Station which has received platform surfacing and some features like seating, shelters and lighting added in along with signboards and even people. Further work will continue in this area with the second platform being completed as well.

Lastly a new arrival has been added to our fleet - a Class 86 loco. This will be kept as an analogue DC loco running on the Lower Loop Line only with a rake of Mk3 coach stock. Having sold all the old Class 90, 86, 87, 50, 58 and 47 locos, a replacement was required to run on this line along with the unchipped Class 350.

In other news...

* Old NSE coach stock sold

* Decoder chip fitted to one Class 350

* All old steam related trucks, wagons and Brake vans have been sold
