Its been a busy time at Colcester, whilst not a lot may be seen apparently on the layout boards, plenty of work has been taking place out of the shed and in the main house, for example - the Viaduct Road Junction has gone from a concept piece of artwork to a fully realised road all in a matter of days. A great deal of thanks needs to go to all the mail order companies ive placed item orders with, particularly to AGR Models in Leighton Buzzard for their prompt service. I have felt a need to try to give as many of this retailers business over the period of the lockdown no matter how small the order as a way of trying to help them stay afloat.
The road junction therefore was able to come together very quickly with traffic bollards, traffic lights and streetlighting all of course pre-ordered and therefore in place ready to do the task. The road itself is finished but the area on the board it will go into still requires a bit more work and then i can start adding scenics. The aim is to complete all the scenery from Colcester South Junction along the viaduct line right up to Furman Smithy Station which will also include the river scene.
