ELECTRIFICATION GIVEN THE GO AHEAD..!!

The Colcester tracks are going to receive the latest Series One OHLE Gantries with the new tension system to reduce sagging of the contact wire in hot weather. These gantries will be placed at the ends of Colcester International Station and also on the lower incline from Furman Smithy Station down to the Lower Storage Yard / Garden Loop Junction.

They will replace some of the older life expired gantries and masts and will improve power collection for the Class 800 Azuma fleet.
